Metro, the perfect impetus for all-round development!

Hyderabad Metro is envisaged for three corridors of Hyderabad and one of them is the Falaknuma- Jubilee Bus station corridor. The Hyderabad Metro Rail project would serve as right impetus for rejuvenating commercial establishments in older parts of the city, which have missed the growth story, which has happened in other parts of Hyderabad.

As cities start expanding, the older parts experience sluggish growth as people have a tendency to move away from them. The only manner in which older establishments can be saved is to bring consumers back to them by offering them better transportation and Hyderabad Metro Rail project is now considered as a best way to ensure this renewed connectivity.

The project has provisions for Transit Oriented Development that would develop commercial complexes and establishments, where consumers can quickly and easily access the shops and establishments which were otherwise not that easily accessible at convenient locations. The Metro Rail would usher various other benefits for the city by means of providing avenues for comprehensively redesigning the city.

L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited is focusing on Transit Oriented Development (TOD) as part of the project giving a fillip to development activities along the corridors envisaged.

Hyderabad Metro dedicates itself to the boosting Brand Hyderabad's journey, which calls for focusing all its resources for building and strengthening the image of Hyderabad.Property rates in the city are expected to be shoot up by 20-30 per cent after the metro commences and hence, investing in the city’s under developed eastern localities like Uppal and LB Nagar are expected to get maximum returns, according to industry pundits. The inception of the metro project would have a positive impact on the entire city.

Hyderabad Metro, an attribute for Brand Hyderabad!

Hyderabad, India’s fifth largest city is now considered among the topmost growing cities of the world and is a busting cosmopolitan city all set to get the formal tag of ‘Metropolitan’ city in the coming few years formally from the government of India.

The city is not only an Information technology hub but also an established Pharma hub of India. Infact it is estimated that more than 40 percent of India’s bulk drugs are manufactured in the city. The ICICI knowledge park located in Shamirpet on the city’s outskirts has emerged as a hub of modern research & development industries in the field of Biotechnology.

Hyderabad is also home to some of the largest public sector units in India, especially those related to defense sector such as Mithani, DRDL, Ordnance factory, Bharath Dynamics Limited and other ancillary industries manufacturing crucial missile components. There are more than 40-50 central research institutes and organizations critical for country’s growth and development. Nuclear Fuel complex, CCMB, CDFD, Survey of India, NGRI etc., are some of the key organizations, to name a few. The city is also an education hub with many institutes of excellence and reputed universities based in Hyderabad. Infact, Hyderabad is the city that sends maximum number of students to world-class institutions like IIT.

The Outer Ring Road, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, the Business district of Gachibowli coupled with the city’s numerous heritage destinations, nawabi lifestyle and its rich culture and traditions have all created Brand Hyderabad.

Brand Hyderabad is here to stay and grow. With Hyderabad Metro Rail, the city is all set to enter a new growth phase, which the city would have never seen before. It is being touted as the much needed fillip for the city’s growth potential because an expanding city like Hyderabad, which has almost crossed one crore population needs a long-term and sustainable public transport system.
Hyderabad Metro is environment-friendly, sustainable, cost effective means of travel and it is poised to create growth corridors across the length and breadth of the city in different directions. With the proposed new IT and hardware corridors coming up in the suburbs of Hyderabad, Metro is the much needed growth engine. Apart from first phase, there are more expansion plans for Metro in the future that is nothing short of a boon for this city, known for its pluralistic culture and an openness that welcomes people from different parts of India and also the world in a globalized era. Metro to complement Hyderabad's Next Phase of Growth

Development, this is one term that holds the promise of a better life style, and for urban regions, infrastructure forms the first priority when it comes to development. A city that has proper infrastructure attracts business, creates jobs and sustains opportunities for everyone’s welfare.
Hyderabad has emerged from an idyllic city five decades ago to a booming financial, medical, tourist and information technology hub today. This journey of the city through its modern history is attributed to the wide roads and drainage system that was created before 1950s. Inspite of the lack of massive infrastructure support, the city progressed but the lacunae of infrastructure have halted the next phase of development, slowing down the economic growth considerably.

A commute to office from a distance of 30 km through dense corridors of Hyderabad takes more than three hours, which puts individual and work place productivity towards ineffectiveness. Hence, to boost the next phase of Hyderabad’s development, L&T Hyderabad Metro is envisaged as the right boon that can shape up and in turn transform the city’s future.

With Metro, a journey of more than 30 km is possible within half an hour and this saves a lot of time where individuals can use the productivity gained elsewhere for the betterment of lives or careers.   With the same level of infrastructure, it may become an urban nightmare to press for further industries and economic hubs in Hyderabad. The city needs to expand and so is the need for quick connectivity between different corners of the city through modern and world-class Metro rail which is not only cost-effective but also environment-friendly.

Metro project is expected to give the much-needed fillip to urban infrastructure and growth where development becomes more scattered than having everything at one place, which puts other regions to disadvantage. Imagine, a techie living near Uppal taking Metro to Hi-tech city for work rather than rent an apartment at Kukatpally for more sum compared to Uppal. The commute from home to work place gets over in 30 minutes minus traffic jams and pollution and the return journey to home is equally comfortable and relaxing.

The first phase of Metro for a span of 72 kms and also the subsequent phases hold a bright prospect where Hyderabad’s new growth story can be scripted. The citizens of the city can look forward for better business, growth, more opportunities and yes, all this can be possible with world-class transport system such as Hyderabad Metro.
