City Acquaintance - Rasoolpura

The three corridors of Hyderabad Metro Rail stretching for nearly 72 km is all set to redefine public transportation system in Hyderabad city. In this regard, Corridor III that connects Nagole in East Hyderabad with Shilparamam of North West Hyderabad is a route of immense significance.

There are 23 stations in this corridor and Rasoolpura is one such important junction located near Begumpet area of the city. This region assumes more importance as it one of the four metro stations between the interchange stations of Ameerpet & Parade grounds.  The region is all set to witness enhanced commercial activity with the advent of Hyderabad Metro Rail.

The construction of metro viaducts and other key infrastructure including metro station at Rasoolpura has picked pace and it marks a new hope of modern connectivity for this region through a mass rapid transit system. After relocation of international airport from Begumpet to Shamshabad in during 2008-09, there has been a slump in development activities and property rates of this area.

However, Hyderabad metro rail is all set to script a new growth story for the region, due to its strategic location on Corridor III. Rasoolpura will witness development for years to come once Metro rail gets operational and commuter traffic grows on this corridor. It is a boon for rapid development of the region and the progress being made by the metro rail project will only augment this trend in the future.

Secunderabad Railway Station

Secunderabad Railway Station, built more than a century ago by the Nizams of Hyderabad, is the headquarters of South Central Railway and also one of the busiest junctions in South India. Lakhs of people travel short and long distances in trains from this station every day. Accessibility to the station is very important as people from all parts of Hyderabad and Secunderabad need to arrive there in time to board their trains.

Hyderabad Metro Rail is a great step forward in providing a hassle-free multi modal accessibility to this station. Moreover, with increasing number of trains and population, the area has been witnessing massive traffic jams and crowded roads during rush hours. Secunderabad Railway Station is therefore an important station of Corridor II that connects Falaknuma to JBS. This corridor passes through the key arterial section of Charminar, Koti, Narayanguda, Musheerabad and Secunderabad Railway Station.

The advent of Hyderabad Metro Rail facilitates easy travel and less congestion in this strategic locality of twin cities. Moreover, the location of Parade Grounds Interchange station close by also helps commuters switch to corridor III and Corridor I at Ameerpet.

With the presence of railway junction, this area has seen the rise of commercial complexes and major businesses for decades. Hyderabad Metro Rail will add a spurt in business growth in the area. It ushers a new era of connectivity by means of a Mass Rapid Transit System. The modern metro station coming up here will revolutionize public transportation system and the range of commuter friendly amenities will mark a new phase of world-class travel that offers a unique experience to commuters. The project envisaged for the future of Hyderabad is all set to be a game changer for the growth and development of this Nawabi city.

City Acquaintance - Chikkadpally

Hyderabad Metro Rail needs no special introduction for the host of benefits it augurs for the Hyderabad city in general and each region along its corridors in particular. The Corridor II of the metro rail project connects Falaknuma in Old City with Jubilee Bus Station in Secunderabad for a total distance of about 15 km.

This corridor has 16 stations in total and Chikkadpally is one of the important stations that is located almost in the centre of this corridor. The locality was considered as the heart of old Hyderabad, until the rise of Cyberabad. It has been a well-known residential and business (small and medium enterprises) hub for  nearly five decades. There are reputed colleges, and public and private sector offices in this area and it is a key intersection on the busy Koti-Secunderabad arterial route.

Located in between the key junctions of RTC X Roads and Narayanguda, the foray of Hyderabad Metro Rail in Chikkadpally heralds a new dawn in terms of rapid connectivity for the thousands of people who commute through this area every day. Moreover, the metro project has added a new dimension for this area’s development.

Hyderabad Metro Rail’s infrastructure in this area has been the best so far in many decades because the area was connected by just a  two-lane road. Moving on the property rates and business presence are sure to rise in this area. The commercial development of the area had been on a downslide due to development being more focused in new and more commercial hubs of Hyderabad like Gachibowli andMadhapur, among others.

The locality is all set to undergo a positive and vibrant transformation with the advent of Hyderabad Metro Rail. The metro station coming up at Chikkadpally will not only inject a new phase of dynamic growth for the area but also serve as the most seamless public transport systemwith rapid connectivity.
