Madhapur Metro Station

Madhapur, once a sleepy nondescript suburb of Hyderabad has today become a bustling hub of the city. The place has earned fame as the region of opportunities and the place-to-be for the younger generation and executives of Hyderabad, especially those from the Information Technology sector.

The public transport in this region has not kept up pace with its rapid expansion in the last 15 years and this would now be a thing of the past with the arrival of Hyderabad Metro Rail. The residential and IT hub of Madhapur would not be the same and it would not be an exaggeration to describe Madhapur area in terms of ‘Before Metro, After Metro”. The project holds the promise of immense changes that would usher once the entire corridor III of Hyderabad Metro Rail gets operational, from Nagole to Shilparamam. This is a crucial corridor of the project, which connects far away destinations through some of the busiest intersections of Hyderabad city.

Madhapur Metro station, which is now in advanced stages of construction, is all set to emerge as the public transport of choice. It is the fourth station enroute Shilparamam to Nagole and would serve as an important link for tourists visiting the famous craft village of Shilparamam and  also for the thousands of employees and professionals travelling from other parts of the city to Madhapur.

Madhapur Metro station features world-class amenities, commuter friendly infrastructure and other attributes to make Madhapur a name to reckon with, when it comes to affordable and environment friendly transport.  The metro rail is also expected to boost the property values here, making it a much sought after choice for businesses and enterprises and serving an important hub like Madhapur, Metro rail would also be witnessing a significant commuter rush. In order to cater to the spurt in passenger traffic, the number of services would also be increased, after the formal start of operations for the entire corridor.  Madhapur Metro Station would be a feather in the cap for Hyderabad’s resurgence in the field of IT and services sector.

Begumpet to Shilparamam

Hyderabad Metro Rail is undoubtedly a feather in the cap for Hyderabad city, in its quest towards emerging truly as a global smart city in the modern era. In this regard, the Metro rail is a cornerstone of how advanced engineering can create the right infrastructure for public transport that is not only modern but also efficient, reliable, smart and commuter friendly.

Hyderabad Metro Rail envisages three corridors in the city for a span of approximately 72 km and Begumpet –Shilparamam stage is a part of Nagole-Shilparamam corridor. This crucial stage involves a total of 11 stations that connects the heart of Hyderabad city to the core IT district in Madhapur.  Once this stage becomes operational, it serves as an important link for people travelling from suburbs of Hyderabad’s eastern plank.

The stage also has the important interchange station at Ameerpet that connects this corridor with Miyapur-LB Nagar corridor of Hyderabad Metro Rail.  Hence, those who travel on the other corridor can alight or pick up a Metro travelling on Nagole-Shilparamam corridor and vice versa. The stations across the route depict the ethos of Brand Hyderabad Metro, with modern amenities, elevators, staircases, retail outlets and a host of other features, which makes it convenient for commuters to travel.  There is a significant reduction of time with Metro travel as this stretch witnesses frequent traffic jams, especially during the rush hours, resulting in the loss of productive time.

After the formal inauguration of services in Begumpet–Shilparamam stage, traffic hassles would be a thing of the past. For those looking to travel to upmarket areas like Jubilee Hills, worship Peddama goddess at the famous temple, a nice shopping experience at Shilparamam and boating at Durgam cheruvu, this stage forms the lifeline, saving time and extra costs incurred for travel. The Begumpet –Shilparamam stretch would definitely be a worthwhile route that would transform connectivity between Cyberabad and Hyderabad-Secunderabad. With an efficient public transport in this busy junction and crucial corridor, it would indeed be a pleasurable experience to take a ride on the Metro rail.

Lakdi-Ka-Pul Metro Station

Hyderabad metro rail is an ambitious infrastructure project destined to boost the overall image of Brand Hyderabad as a destination of long-term development. The metro rail project is a harbinger of development, a mass rapid transit system that revolutionizes public transport in the city, known for its nawabi traditions, as much for its reputation as a knowledge capital.

The project envisages three corridors in the first phase and LB Nagar – Miyapur corridor is an important transit route that covers some of the dense traffic corridors of the city. Lakdi-ka-pul station is an important junction on this corridor. The corridor, which is still under construction, is all set to make traffic hassles, a thing of the past.

Lakdi-ka-pul metro station is positioned strategically to serve many key areas of the city. The station is a link for old Hyderabad and new Hyderabad, acting as a cultural bridge too. Due to its close proximity to Assembly and other administrative functions of the government, the station is indeed a pride on the Metro map of Hyderabad. It is placed approximately equidistant from the interchange stations like Ameerpet and MGBS.

For those who intend to travel to residential zones of Hyderabad and also towards Srisailam and Vijayawada highways’, this corridor is considered an ideal route. The station also serves the emerging hotspots of Hyderabad like Mehdipatnam area. From here, it is easy for commuters to reach the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway, built to reach Hyderabad International airport easily.

Once the station is operationalized with all the modern amenities, it would definitely support the further development of property values, more business for commercial enterprises here, and also an effective way for travelling from South East Hyderabad to Cyberabad for jobs and other official purposes.
