Hyderabad
Metro Rail is a harbinger of development for the city of Hyderabad in the years
and decades to come. Estimated to carry lakhs of passengers in the near future,
it is truly a revolutionary public transport for the city of Hyderabad.
The
progress envisages three corridors out of which LB Nagar-Miyapur corridor is
called as Corridor I. This corridor starts at LB Nagar and proceeds towards
Miyapur for more than 27 km. LB Nagar has been a key intersection since many
decades, as it is the gateway towards Vijayawada and Srisailam including
Nalgonda and some parts of Mahabubnagar district but the pace of road
infrastructure development has been inadequate.
Moreover,
there was a need for a massive face-lift for this region as it has been
witnessing a heavy rush of migrants and others who commute every day through
inadequate road transport. The advent of Hyderabad Metro Rail has added a
completely new dimension today for LB Nagar region. Emerging from an
underdeveloped suburb, today LB Nagar is undergoing a sea change with the Metro
rail project slowly transforming the landscape of the region with promise of
more development in the future.
With
the station construction going on at a rapid pace, and with the viaducts and
metro infrastructure nearing completion, LB Nagar, the South east suburb of
Hyderabad, which is emerging as a residential hub is all set to get a fillip
with this infrastructure addition. Moreover with the stations also hosting
retail spaces, it would enable a large scale transformation of the region with
more commuters preferring to do their shopping while they travel. Traversing
long distances within city is no longer a problem with metro and this ensures rapid
development as residents choose LB Nagar for buying a property because they can
travel to other busy junctions of city through Corridor I and also switch to
other corridors through inter change stations. Metro project at LB Nagar is
truly a transformative preposition for this rapidly growing suburb of the city.
