Metro station Prakash Nagar at Begumpet .
Hyderabad is now coming up with the most awaited transport system,
The Metro Rail. The first housing board colony in Hyderabad known as Prakash
Nagar is all set to have its own Metro Station. Prakash Nagar is an important
station on Mettuguda-Begumpet section which is a residential suburb in
Telangana Hyderabad. There
are three corridors with 66 stations and Prakash Nagar falls under Corridor III.
This stretch extends from Nagole to Shilparamam, for more than 27 km and is
progressing at a remarkable pace as per schedule.
It is an important station of
corridor III, as it lies exactly in between the two interchange stations of
Parade grounds and Ameerpet. Parade grounds station connects corridor III with
corridor II. This makes it easier for commuters to switch to JBS-Falaknuma
route of Metro Rail. Ameerpet interchange station connects corridor III with
corridor I, wherein commuters can switch to Miyapur-LB Nagar route of Metro.
Old airport road at Begumpet,
filled with large number of residential apartments, educational institutes,
banks, commercial buildings and other thriving activities it makes it a very
important part of the city. Located on an arterial inner ring road connecting
Tarnaka and Uppal region through Paradise with Ameerpet and Punjagutta, Prakash
Nagar is an important junction of Hyderabad.
Once the station becomes
operational, in addition to restoring the earlier era of Begumpet’s high thrust
development, it would be a hub of activity with a public transport system like
Metro. Prakash Nagar station is all set to provide a renewed push for the
overall development of this region giving access for commuters from the
residential and commercial hotspots of the old airport region for travelling to
other far-flung areas of Hyderabad city.
