Inauguration of Hyderabad Metro Rail

28^th November, 2017 will always be a special day for the citizens of Hyderabad and for all employees of LTMRHL. The launch of Hyderabad Metro Rail is a landmark in the urban rejuvenation effort that blends in cutting edge technology, machine automation and extensive engineering expertise.

Known as the largest public private partnership in the Metro Rail category, Hyderabad Metro Rail was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji and other eminent dignitaries. Metro train services are currently available between Nagole and Miyapur stations, covering an area of 30 kilometers approximately. This is the first phase of the 72 kilometers planned route of Hyderabad metro Rail. The Metro trains will run between 6 AM and 10 PM, with a minimum fare of INR 10 and a maximum fare of INR 60.

Hyderabad Metro Rail is supposed to change the travelling experience. Eco-friendly, fully automated and best in class transportation framework contribute to reduction in carbon footprints and overall pollution using Regenerative Braking Technology (RBT) and running on Communication based Train Control (CBTC) technology. Comfortable and aesthetically designed metro train coaches will facilitate quicker and safer journey across Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) will be instrumental in improving the lives of the citizens of Hyderabad by providing safer, faster and comparatively economical mode of public transport.
