LB Nagar, once a non
descript suburb of Hyderabad has today evolved as a major junction and as part
of our efforts to usher a world-class transport solution for Hyderabad metro,
we are leaving no stone unturned to make Metro, truly a transforming project.
LB Nagar is the
starting point for Corridor I, which stretches till Miyapur for a distance of
29 km with 27 stations. We have conceived this corridor to connect the south
east suburbs of Hyderabad city, to Miyapur region that connects Mumbai highway.
This corridor of our Metro project therefore connects Mumbai highway to
Vijayawada highway at its farthest points.
LB Nagar is the gateway
for Vansathalipuram, Emzal, BN Reddy Nagar, Sagar highway, Santosh nagar and
other key areas of Hyderabad’s new city as well as old city. It is located
close to Ramoji film city and few other tourist attractions. The region of LB
Nagar is one of largest residential hubs in Hyderabad from where thousands of
commuters travel to many other parts of Hyderabad for jobs and education. There
are many engineering colleges which have sprouted close to Vijayawada highway,
on either side from LB Nagar till Nalgonda district.
Our Metro rail project
therefore makes easy for commuters coming from these regions to easily reach
the core region of Hyderabad as well as the IT district and business districts
of Hyderabad city as Miyapur is located close to Hitech city and also
Gachibowli via Lingampalli.
LB Nagar as an emerging
cosmopolitan suburb is all set to undergo a rapid transformation with Hyderabad
Metro Rail which would script a new growth story for people living in this part
of the city. Metro rail would usher a remarkable connectivity for people who
can travel long distances in ultra modern coaches of Metro within a short
duration. Once our metro station at LB Nagar becomes operational, it would also
feature many user friendly amenities and retail outlets to serve commuters of
the Metro rail, wherein even a hassle free shopping experience becomes part of
their journey.
